Christmas Events to Keep You Busy This Holiday Season

If you’ve been to Moose Jaw between October and January, you probably know that we take Christmas pretty seriously around these parts. The streets in Downtown Moose Jaw glitter with lighted decorations and almost every storefront gets decked out in beautiful holiday decor! There are also tons of events throughout November and December to get you into the Christmas Spirit, here are some of them!


Elf the Musical - November 22nd to 24th at 7:00 pm and 25th at 2:00 pm at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre. Vanier Collegiate is putting on a modern-day holiday classic that is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf. After all, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear.


Quilter’s Haven Annual Christmas Open House - November 24th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and 25th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Quilter’s Haven. There will be new product demos, in-store specials, hot apple cider, door prizes, and more!


St. Andrew’s Christmas Market - November 24th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and November 25th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church. There will be over 40 vendors with gifts such as woodworking, quilting & knitting, food & baking, stained glass, stuffed animals, and so much more! Mother Christmas will be there for a photo and there will be carriage rides around the park!


Mistletoe Magic Evening - November 24th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Keon Garden Centre. An evening of fun, sales, and giveaways while enjoying live music, refreshments and a stroll through the indoor Christmas tree lot!


Sip & Shop - November 24th at 8:00 pm, 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Mitny Refillery. Sample Christmas drinks and treats while you shop on Black Friday!


Christmas Home Tour - November 26th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm starting at Lions Creek. See inside  five of Moose Jaw’s most beautifully decorated homes, with snacks and nonalcoholic drinks at each place!


Make Outdoor Christmas Porch Planter Pots - November 27th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and November 29th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Keon Garden Centre. Make your own Christmas Christmas porch planter pot with fresh Christmas greens!


Make Outdoor Christmas Hanging Basket - November 28th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Keon Garden Centre. Make your own Christmas hanging basket with fresh Christmas greens!


Make Christmas Platters with Bowls - December 1st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at artisaNGrounds. Create your own holiday designed platter that will surely be a conversation piece at your next party!


Wakamow Valley of Lights - Thursdays to Sundays, December 1st to 31st at the Lorne Calvert Campground. The Campground turns into a magical Winter Wonderland with Christmas lights glittering on every tree!


Christmas with the Ennis Sisters - December 1st at 7:30 pm at The Moose Jaw Cultural Centre. Flavoured by Celtic and traditional Newfoundland influences, Maureen, Karen and Teresa are known for their captivating sibling harmonies and their powerful, often humorous, storytelling.


Santa Claus Parade - December 3rd at 6:00 pm on Main Street (starting at the Town N Country Mall). Join Santa & Mrs. Claus and tons of floats by local businesses and groups as they parade down Main Street!


artisaNGrounds 12 Days of Christmas - December 4th, 5th, 7th, 12th, and 14th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at artisaNGrounds. Create 12 handmade gifts this holiday season! You can attend all sessions, or choose just one or some of them! December 4th - make one Rudolph Platter, December 5th - glaze two holiday tumblers, December 7th - make five personalized ornaments, December 12th - glaze one cookie plate for Santa, December 14th - make three Christmas votives.


Cosmo Centre Christmas Banquet - December 7th at 5:00 pm at the Cosmo Seniors Centre. Join the Cosmo Seniors Centre for their Annual Christmas Banquet! There will be Chinese Food from the Uptown Cafe!


Elite Christmas Event - December 7th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm or 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Elite Hairstyling & Esthetics Training Centre. Enjoy arm & face massages, mini gua-sha facial massages, strip lash custom applications, mini makeup applications, a curl and braid bar, discounts, giveaways, and drinks and treats!


A Nashville Christmas - December 8th at 6:30 pm at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre. Immerse yourself in an evening of heartfelt music and lyrical artistry, as we showcase some of Nashville's finest songwriters. Experience the deep emotional connection as Emily Shackelton, Jenn Bostic, Jonny Mo, Sarah Darling, and Lindsay Ell weave inspiring stories through their songs!


A Christmas Long Ago - December 9th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Western Development Museum. Through this Museum-led program, we provide an opportunity for visitors to learn about 1910 settler life and, in particular, about family traditions during the holiday season. Explore holiday traditions, see what types of gifts were given, and make an old-fashioned craft. Recommended for ages five years and up; families welcome!


Royal Canadian Legion Christmas Dinner - December 9th at 5:30 pm. Looking for a delicious meal? The Legion is hosting a Christmas dinner on December 9th. Tickets are available at the Legion.


Moose Jaw Choir at the Wakamow Valley of Lights - December 9th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lorne Calvert Campground. The Moose Jaw Choir will be performing Christmas Carols in the Wakamow Valley of Lights!


A Christmas Rockstory: Holiday Circus Spectacular - December 10th at 7:00 pm at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. An electrifying and heartwarming stage show that combines the excitement of rock music with the festive cheer of a Christmas circus! The show features a cast of talented and award-winning specialty acts and acrobats who dazzle the audience with their jaw-dropping performances. From acrobatics and aerial stunts to edge-of-your-seat daredevils, the circus performers showcase their extraordinary skills in an awe-inspiring display of talent.


Next Level Charcuterie - December 13th at 7:30 pm at Cask 82. Indulge in fantastic charcuterie eats while learning advanced Charcuterie skills with Gourmet on the Go! Jacki will be down at Cask sharing tips & tricks to make your next charcuterie creation a work of art!
