Romantic Getaway

Need some time away with your special someone? We think Moose Jaw is the perfect destination for a little romance. Here is our recommendation for a great couple’s getaway.

Day One
You’ve arrived in Moose Jaw! If you haven’t booked a hotel yet, stop in and see our knowledgeable staff at the Visitor Centre. We can also help you map out your stay and we even have coupons we like to share.

Take your sweetheart out to a nice lunch at the Grant Hall Hotel. This restored property in the heart of downtown Moose Jaw is truly something to see. While you are there, try some of the balsamic vinegars and olive oils at Oliv.

The night is still young! Try your luck at Casino Moose Jaw. If gambling isn’t your thing try Cask 82 for live music on the weekends. Known for their craft cocktails, this is an intimate setting for some local acoustic acts.

Day Two
Sleep in a little! Once you are up and ready to go, we recommend a hearty breakfast at Smitty’s Town ‘N’ Country Mall. Fill up and get ready for the day ahead.

What is more romantic then a walk hand in hand in a beautiful park? No matter what the season, Wakamow Valley is a great place to spend time together while appreciating nature. Hike any one of their trails and paths. Feeling adventurous? In the winter, you can rent snowshoes and cross country skis from Boh’s Cycle and Sporting Goods. Wakamow Valley even offers a skating oval if you feel like doing a few laps together!

Now that you’ve both worked up an appetite, how about some lunch? Mitsu Sweet Café will transport you away to Japan. Offering a variety of sushi, ramen and rice bowls this is a unique little spot right in downtown Moose Jaw. We recommend finishing your meal off with their Tempura Ice Cream, perfect to share!

Spend your afternoon strolling downtown Moose Jaw. The local stores offer lots of great shopping. Make sure to stop in at The Shop. Find the perfect Moose Jaw souvenir to remember your trip with and grab some of the decadent Chocolate Moose Fudge Factory fudge!

Nothing says Romance quite like the perfect bottle of wine. Prairie Bee Meadery offers tasting of their local Mead. Find the perfect one for you to share!
